We here at Hey Ridge think every pizzeria in the neighborhood in it’s own special way. We’ve established our own recurring column, “Pizzanalysis”, devoted to spreading the gospel of our pizza superiority to the masses. Last week, renowned food critic Robert Sietsema of Eater, a long time aficionado of Bay Ridge’s cheap eats, listed his picks for the ten greatest slice joints in the borough, and two of Bay Ridge’s finest made the cut.
Located right outside of the Bay Ridge Avenue subway station, Original’s is always included in any legitimate Bay Ridge pizza debate. If you haven’t tried it, it’s worth ordering a pie for dinner tonight. Or right this very second, as there is never a wrong time for excellent pizza.

On the other side of the neighborhood, acting as one of the points of Bay Ridge’s superlative Cheap Eats Triangle, lies Espresso Pizza on 94th Street and Fifth Avenue. Writes Sietsema: “If we were to select a candidate for best cheese slice in Brooklyn, Espresso might win.”
