
If you’re a fan of Shakespeare, then this is going to be a good weekend for you. On Saturday (August 22, 2015), BrooklynONE Productions will be putting up two showings (2:00pm and 6:30pm) of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. There will be a refreshment stand, but you’re on your own for a blanket.

The Bay Ridge Branch Friends Group offers bargains at a book sale. (Though the website listed the date as August 15, a trip to the library on that date revealed a handwritten sign that indicated the Book Sale was August 22.)
Shakespeare in Owl’s Head
Anthony Marino and brooklynONE productions produce A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Overlook in Owl’s Head Park. Refreshments will be sold at both the 2pm matinee and 6:30pm performances. Bring your own blanket.
“The Nance” Screening
In case you missed Nathan Lane’s last Broadway appearance, the local library will screen a prerecorded performance of Douglas Carter Beane’s play.
