JJ Carty Park Spruce Up

The playground at JJ Carty Park desperately needs some TLC. Please join Bay Ridge Cares in helping to beautify this vital part of our community, just in time for summer.

We will be scraping and painting several benches and parts of the playground equipment. We also plan to paint some hopscotch and four box game “boards” in the paved areas, give the whale a fresh look and to decorate the freshly painted benches with brightly colored children’s hand prints.

All paint used will stain clothing so please dress (adults and children) appropriately.

We will have some crafts and activities for younger kids (4+).

There will be some snacks and water during the day with a pizza celebration when the work is done.

Dedicated volunteers will receive a Bay Ridge Cares t-shirt.
